Yesterday, I grabbed my backup camera (Rebel XT) and headed over to Queens, New York for the Holi Festival. The weather was great, and in the park, the powder filled the air. I am sure I lost a few years from my life. Luckily the XT survived all the powder and water.

I cannot help but go back over some of my old photographs and applying HDR techniques. HDR images, for those that do not know, are images that attempt to recreate a scenery as your eye would see it, not as a camera would.

Today, I embarked on a journey to New York City's Central Park to take some images in an attempt to expand my portfolio. For this trip I also experimented with gps tracking, which turned out to be pretty awesome. Using my Android powered phone and the app, My Tracks, I was able to map not only my way through the park, but to sync it with the photographs I took afterwards.
</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.karran.tv/blog/2010/2/5/the-continuing-evolution.html"><rss:title>The Continuing Evolution</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.karran.tv/blog/2010/2/5/the-continuing-evolution.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

A little while ago, I decided that a redesign of my site and blog was needed. The old site did not feel organized and cohesive enough with the blog being hosted by tumblr and the portfolio being hosted by godaddy. Now both are together and life is a lot easier.
