This is my first shot at time lapse photography. I used my Canon 40D and Tamron 28 - 75 2.8. Software used (in order) Camera Raw - Photoshop - LightRoom.

Each image was taken 10 seconds apart with 8 second exposures. 120 total images for 5 seconds of Video.

Time: 20 mins taking photographs, 90 minutes processing.

I do not know why I never realized that there was a hint of mountains in the back ground of this photograph. It may be because my eyes are attracted to the set of people in closest to the viewer then it wonders across the horizon line.

Another photograph from a trip to Vegas a few years ago. I did a lot of long exposures while over there because I really love night time shots and reflections and light trails are fun.

I wish I remembered where exactly this photograph was taken. Come to think of it, even when I was taking it, I did not know where we were. While on a failed attempt at driving to San Diego from Palm Spring in California, we realized that we just could not penetrate this range of mountains.

This panoramic shot is made up of six horizontal raw images, each were processed using single shot HDR, and then stitched together in Photoshop. This was the first time I got a change to play with the new Content Aware fill in CS5. Great stuff.

This past December I was called to shoot an impromptu jam session between a drummer and a beat boxer at a local studio. I was not sure what to expect but I grabbed my gear and went out anyways. What I experienced was some amazing improv music. The music was so moving, every musician in the room got involved and it became a full on jam session.

I would love to say that I took this photograph while traversing through the Amazon or even the local New Jersey woods, but I actually took this in the Baltimore Aquarium in Maryland. The staged lighting was good enough for me to get a bright capture with a pretty shallow depth of field.

I always love going to the Met in the summer just for the atmosphere and art. Its a great place to snap some photographs and the staff are not as bad as MoMA about cameras. The architecture is beautiful and provides a great setting for some long exposure.

Another long exposure taken at the Met can be found in my portfolio here

This is one of my favorite images that I took while on a trip to Las Vegas in Nevada. We arrived in Vegas from Los Angeles at night so we decided to pull an all nighter just walking around the strip going into different casinos. This photograph was taken about thirty minutes before sunrise. In Vegas the sidewalks and overpasses are heavily barricaded, presumably to protect the drinking public, so I took this with the camera pressed against the glass of an overpass.
