Lower Hudson Fish Conservation Campaign

The Lower Hudson Fish Conservation (LHFC) was organized to bring awareness to the dwindling population of fresh water fish that live in the Lower Hudson Valley. The Lower Hudson Valley stretches from mid-upstate New York through New Jersey and empties out into the Atlantic Ocean via New York City.

The Logo alludes to the mating of the striped bass who swim upstream to mate and return downstream.

Rock The Lower Hudson

Swordfish Throwing Darts

In an attempt to raise awareness of the dwindling worldwide swordfish population, the swordfish throwing darts product was born.

The physical properties of a swordfish was heavily taken into consideration in the inception of both the logo and the product design.

The logo combines the inspiration as well as the product due to the substitution of the “w” and the “o”.

Ergonomics & Design Exposition

The Ergonomics & Design Expo is a faux event that takes place annually at the Newark Museum in Newark, New Jersey. This year’s event focuses on technology, including wireless communication and form fitting designs. As the battery lives of these devices are getting longer, comfort has become as important and features.

The expo logo is entirely photographically inspired. Both text and image were photographed and then converted to graphics.

The event poster (18 in. x 24 in.) illustrates communication without actually being present. This is achieved by the use of both illustration and photography to create a narrative that sends a clear and dynamic message.

Pablo Neruda Accordion Fold

Pablo Neruda’s poems are full of metaphors and vivid imagery and “Ode to a Pair of Socks” is no different. Expressive typography and strong, detailed silhouettes combined with carefully thought out and eye catching color made this accordion fold a dynamic piece of work.

This accordion fold (5 in x 45 in) includes original silhouettes and artwork to illustrate the poem accurately and dynamically.

Thinking Made Visual

“Thinking made Visual” is a quote coined by designer Saul Bass.  The quote embodies the mind set of young designers from the start of their education until graduation.

The Banner (30 in. x 40 in.) was hung all over the gallery in which the collective works of the students were displayed.

The postcard was distributed to VIP’s including the mayor of Newark, NJ and the many design luminaries of Rutgers University.
