The Lower Hudson Fish Conservation (LHFC) was organized to bring awareness to the dwindling population of fresh water fish that live in the Lower Hudson Valley. The Lower Hudson Valley stretches from mid-upstate New York through New Jersey and empties out into the Atlantic Ocean via New York City.

The Logo alludes to the mating of the striped bass who swim upstream to mate and return downstream.

Rock the Lower Hudson is an annual event that takes place under the Gerorge Washington Bridge in Fort Lee, New Jersey.

The aim of the event is to raise money and awareness of the fish situation in the Lower Hudson Valley.
